Rachel received her degree and completed her training at The University of Nottingham. Before joining Smith Caradoc-Hodgkins Architects she worked in a medium sized practice, based in Great Yarmouth, gaining experience in domestic, commercial, leisure and local conservation projects.
In her approach to architecture Rachel is committed to simplicity of design. She has a preference for the use of natural materials, particularly timber and is interested in working with natural light to create impact on the built space through contrast and texture. She is currently able to explore these interests working on the
Deluxe studio fit- out.
Rachel assisted Derek Jackson on
The Sanctum Soho Hotel project and she was involved in the planning permission and detailed works packages for the
St Martin’s Courtyard development.
